Hi everyone, I apologize for the long pause on the blog! I blame Facebook for that. I have some cool things in the works and will update you as they come. Looking forward to Halloween. I always love tackling those Halloween layouts. The Basic Grey Eerie Line  and Pink Paislee Twilight  are my favorite scrapbooking lines this year!

In another note, tomorrow will be 1 year since my layoff from Wyndham!  I can’t believe it has been a year already. Here’s hoping unemployment will go down in 2010! I am celebrating by attending the Grand Opening of the new H&M store in Orlando. Before I always had to travel to New York or California. H&M is a clothing company from Sweden and offers very fashion forward clothing at reasonable prices. I like to call them the Ikea of clothing. Hopefully, there will be a few bargains.

Ah, the challenges of the laid-off. I have had a couple of interviews lately, in-person instead of phone, so that is a step up.

Well, there is always time to scrap. I have been working on a few pet layouts of the labs lately so I thought I would post. The blue one is based on a class I took from Celine Navarro from France when I was in California for CHA this past January. Looking forward to CHA Summer in Orlando this July!

Since I have been only showing off the Scrapbook Layouts lately, decided to add some of my cards. The first two cards I used stamps from Stampin Up! and the the last two cards are using stamps from Stampers Anonymous.  Let me know what you think!

It is so hot in Florida these past days…high 90s F with a heat index of 107 F, so I have been staying inside and catching up on my scrapbooking. I am almost two years behind. Here are some of the Halloween 2007 layouts I have been working on. Some of the companies products I have used is K&Co, Scenic Route, Crate Paper, Rusty Pickle, Basic Grey and more! These pages mean a great deal to me as we all would be part of the corporate lay-off from Wyndham, the same time in 2008.

It has been too long since my last post!  Last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a Teacher’s Assistant to the core instructors at Donna Downey’s Inspired Artist Workshop in Charlotte, NC ! I also taught a mini-workshop called “In The Dog House”!  It was alot of fun with a great group of people and a wonderful set of friends. I thought I might post some shots from my class and other teachers such as Paulette Insall  and Jennifer Stewart! In less than a month I head to Donna Downey’s Inspired Artist Workshop to assist the core teachers and teach my own mini-workshop. If you live in or around the Charlotte area you can take the mini-workshops without taking the core classes!!!! Lot’s of mini-workshops to choose from included mine called “In The Dog House”.

I had a great time at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Winter in Anaheim. This is where all the craft, mixed media and scrapbook companies unveil their new products!  My picks for great new products were American Crafts, Sassafras Lass, Pink Paislee, Cosmo Cricket and even though the booth didn’t get there in time: October Afternoon! I love the bold patterns of October Afternoon, they mix and match beautifully with any scrapbook papers and products from any company. I bumped into some talented people such as Donna Downey, Claudine Hellmuth and Ted from Stampers Anonymous!

I also had the opportunity to take a great class  from Celine Navarro using some of the great products from October Afternoon at my favorite Scrapbook store in California, Scrapbook Oasis. I have uploaded some pics from the CHA floor and a layout from the class!  I am also helping out Scrapbook Oasis and set up a Fan Page for them on Facebook. Please join this fun community! I hope to upload some great pics in the coming days. I will also be taking a class at Scrapbook Oasis to take a class with Celine Navarro on Monday night. Scrapbook Oasis is a great little store in Irvine, CA, but stocks all the latest and greatest scrapbook products. Scrapbook Oasis is also hosting a fabulous event called Reflections in May a week before I am headed off to Donna Downey’s Inspired!  Speaking of which, Donna has the most gorgeous canvas line coming out!
