Halloween Scrapbook Layouts June 22, 2009
It is so hot in Florida these past days…high 90s F with a heat index of 107 F, so I have been staying inside and catching up on my scrapbooking. I am almost two years behind. Here are some of the Halloween 2007 layouts I have been working on. Some of the companies products I have used is K&Co, Scenic Route, Crate Paper, Rusty Pickle, Basic Grey and more! These pages mean a great deal to me as we all would be part of the corporate lay-off from Wyndham, the same time in 2008.
My trip to Inspired Artist Workshop last month…. June 15, 2009
It has been too long since my last post! Last month, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a Teacher’s Assistant to the core instructors at Donna Downey’s Inspired Artist Workshop in Charlotte, NC ! I also taught a mini-workshop called “In The Dog House”! It was alot of fun with a great group of people and a wonderful set of friends. I thought I might post some shots from my class and other teachers such as Paulette Insall and Jennifer Stewart! Please note the picture of the dinner is by Paolo Lilac, the Inspired placement is by Amy Preneta, all other pics are by Zanne Koller.

Back from CHA Winter in California! February 3, 2009
I had a great time at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Winter in Anaheim. This is where all the craft, mixed media and scrapbook companies unveil their new products! My picks for great new products were American Crafts, Sassafras Lass, Pink Paislee, Cosmo Cricket and even though the booth didn’t get there in time: October Afternoon! I love the bold patterns of October Afternoon, they mix and match beautifully with any scrapbook papers and products from any company. I bumped into some talented people such as Donna Downey, Claudine Hellmuth and Ted from Stampers Anonymous!
I also had the opportunity to take a great class from Celine Navarro using some of the great products from October Afternoon at my favorite Scrapbook store in California, Scrapbook Oasis. I have uploaded some pics from the CHA floor and a layout from the class! I am also helping out Scrapbook Oasis and set up a Fan Page for them on Facebook. Please join this fun community! More great CHA photos coming soon!
The New York Scrapbook November 10, 2008
Finally started my scrapbook for my New York, Arizona and California pics. New York was a business trip, so I had a limited window to take photos…but boy did I snap away. I also journaled (oh my!) about meeting my favorite actor and Caleb’s name sake not 15 minutes after being in New York. The photos of the layout aren’t great, but I hope you get the gest. My creative mojo is coming back!
It’s been a month…lots to report November 1, 2008
It has been exactly a month since I last blogged. It has been a roller coaster of a month. For the past 2 years and 2 months I worked for Wyndham. Unfortunately with the state of the economy and other issues, Wyndham laid-off 250 people in the Corporate Orlando office on October 15, 2008. US wide it has been said to have been 1,600, although the company publicly has not announced the final numbers. Needless to say I have been through all the stages of emotions, but luckily within 2 weeks I landed a contract job with Disney Online. And know how lucky I am. I have to say the lay-off has been easier with my “support” group on FaceBook and the incredibly talented and very nice people at Aquent and Disney. As they say, one door closes and another one opens.
Just think this time next week we will know who will be the next President of the United States is and this economy will bounce back.
I hope to get my mind back to creating, so hopefully I will have some layouts to show you soon!
